Safa Burj

Islamabad, PK

About:

Safa Burj Mall is envisioned as a 22-storey mixed-use tower that brings together retail, residential, and lifestyle functions within a single, sculpted form. The building is planned on a circular grid, allowing the spaces to flow around the central cores while opening outward to views and light.

The design is driven by its fluid, curvilinear geometry, where the massing rises in layered volumes rather than a typical straight tower. A key feature is the cantilevered banquet hall, suspended above a high-level courtyard, creating a dramatic architectural moment that connects public and private zones vertically.

The façade is defined by a lightweight structural skin of vertical fins and curved screens, wrapping the tower in a semi-transparent layer. This not only enhances the building’s identity but also filters light, adds depth, and gives the structure a dynamic appearance both day and night. The interplay of solid volumes and flowing horizontal bands at the podium further strengthens its iconic, contemporary character.
